Trip Overview

Annaurna Base Camp Express Trek from Vista Trek takes you to the foothill of Mount Annapurna, the 10th highest mountain in the world. This trekking route is one of the all-time popular routes preferred by visitors to Nepal. In fact, this is one of the first popular routes ever in Nepal – starting back from the sixties. Trekkers back then used to take weeks to arrive at Annapurna Base Camp, but today several alternative routes have appeared, making it possible to reach Annapurna Base Camp and back in over a week. The location is like a sanctuary, hence people sometimes call this trek Annapurna Sanctuary Trek. The views of surrounding peaks are spectacular, and will definitely attract you to Nepal more than once.

The people who live in these villages belong to a mix of cast and community. In the lower altitudes, it’s mostly Brahmin and Chhetris and a little higher up, you will see villages of the Magar and Gurung people. Trekking along the villages, you will see terraced paddies, trek through dense wet bamboo forests, gushing rivers, deep old forests of oaks, and exotic vegetation that will charm you on this trail. If you happen to be here in the right season (spring), you will see the blooming forests of rhododendron. With its deep gradients of red and crimson, you can imagine how beautiful the hills will be. Once you reach Annapurna Base Camp, you will see the close-up views of Annapurna Massif.

The Annapurna Base Camp Short Trek  begins with a drive from Pokhara. You will reach places like Chhomrong, Bamboo, Deurali, Sinuwa, Macchapuchhre Base Camp near Mardi Himal, and of course Annapurna Base Camp itself. The mostly ascending trail on the way is scenic, yet, is an incomprehensible mix of diverse vegetation and landscapes. As we trek through green forests and hills, we will come across snowy crests or peaks that will enchant and inspire you to trek further. And as we arrive Annapurna Base Camp, we will see unobstructed views of Annapurna, Gangapurna, Hiunchuli, and other peaks.

For a memorable visit to Nepal, take this trip right inside Annapurna Region, and see a unique mix of nature, culture, diversity and beauty in the central north part of Nepal.
