Chitwan  national  park, the  most  popular  destination  for tourists is  situated in southern  part of Nepal with and  area  of 932 square  kilometers. This is  the first  famous  national  park of Nepal in the  field of wildlife  safaris. In  1973,  it was  declared as  a  national park and identified by   UNESCO  as  a  Natural  World  Heritage  Site  in  1984 A.D. This   park is  a common  home  for  56  species of  mammals  such as one=horned  rhinoceros, Bengal tiger, sloth  bear,  leopard,  wild-elephant.  Gangetic dolphin, wild  bison, Striped hyena and so on. We can, here. find 450 species of  birds , 126  species of  fish.  590 species of  butterflies and  47 species  of   reptiles  as a  verified  estimate. A  recent  study has also  shown  that  one  third of  Nepal's  total  population  of  wild –life  creatures is  found  here.

The  forest  is  covered  by sal,  interspersed  with tall  grasslands, small hills. flood plains and ox-bow  lakes. Currently,  two  jungle  safari package  are  classified, one is  outside the park and the  other  is  inside  the park .  Although  it  is  possible  to stay longer  as  the  tourists  wish,  usually   3 days  and  2 nights are  spent  here.

We  can enjoy  unique  cultural  traditions  living in hotels   either in inside or  outside of the  Park.
