How to get there?
There are 2 ways to get into the Bardia National Park.Â
By Land  :  Royal Bardia National Park can be reached by direct bus starting from Kathmandu, Pokhara, or Chitwan. The bus will take you to the turn off point for the park, Ambassa from where it is 13 km. to the hotel.You will be received and transferred to hotel from Ambassa.
By Air :  Daily flights are available from Kathmandu to Nepalgunj. At the time of your arrival at Nepalgunj Airport, you will be received and transferred to the hotel at Bardia National Park. Which takes about 2:5 hours by jeep from Airport.
Things to Bring
 Binocular, flashlight, sun glass, sun hat and sun cream, swim wear, insect repellent, bright color and clothes should be avoided concerning natural surroundings, warm sweater and jacket for winter season from Nov. to Feb., light shoes for walking, long pant for elephant ride, swiss knife, reading books, etc.

Day 01 / Flight from Kathmandu to Nepalgunj.Received at Airport and Transferred to Rhino Lodge . Our Guest Relation Officer will brief you about the Programme.
3:00 pm – Tour to Tharu Village to see and learn about the life and lifestyle of the ethnic people of Karnali Region.
8:00 pm – Dinner
Day 02 /  6:00 am – Wake Up Call
6:30 am – Breakfast
7:30 am – Elephant Ride. An excellent opportunity to encounter One Horn Rhinoceros, Spotted Deer, Hog Deer, Barking Deer, Samber, Royal Stag, Nil Gai, Black Buck, Wild Boar, Leopard, Royal Bengal Tiger, Wild Dog, Golden Jackal, stripped Hyena and many other small mammals etc.. Visit to Visitors Centre, Crocodile Breeding Centre, and Tharu Cultural Museum.
1:00 pm – Lunch
3:00 pm – Jungle Walk. An excellent opportunity to encounter the Wild Animals, Small Mammals, Birds, and wait in the Tower (Machan) to have the Wild Sightseeing, accompanied by an Experienced Naturalists, and Wild Life Tracker. Excellent photographic opportunities are plentiful.
7:00 pm – Tharu Cultural Dance
8:00 pm – Dinner
Day 03 /  6:00 am – Wake Up Call
6:30 am – Breakfast
7:00 am – Visit to Karnali river for Dolphin sightseeing
12:30 am – Lunch
1:00 pm – Drive to Nepalgunj Airport to catch flight back to Kathmandu

The Bardia National Park is located in Nepal's western region of Terai. It is spreaded over 968 sq. km and declared as a national park in 1984. The park is famous for its variety of undisturbed wilderness experience. The park is predominantly occupied by sal trees forest(i.e. about 70% of the total trees) with a mixture of grass and riverine vegetation .This park is a lovely home for endangered animals like the Bengal tiger, wild-elephant, one-horned rhinoceros, swamp deer, black buck etc. Furthermore, other endangered species include gharial crocodile, mars mugger and Gangetic dolphin,more than 200 species of birds and various species of snakes. There are a few wild elephants and some of the males are thought of the largest in Asia. Certain ethnic group's culture and traditions can be witnessed directly here.
